A PAIR OF PRIMITIVE PEAR PINKEEPS

A Pair of Primitive Pear Pinkeeps (say that 5 times fast!!)
The pears were made with a pattern by Sassafras Hill Primitives. They can also be used to display copies of old photos or postcards.

I give some of these pears a spice scent and prim them up with cinnamon and attach tags that read "spice pear". On a pear I gave to a friend, I attached an old sepia tone picture of a couple and wrote "What A Pair" on a prim tag.
I didn't stain these (which is unusual) because I really like the fabric on its own.

ANGELS UNAWARE

i BeLieVe

we are surrounded by angels and that we are unaware of it most of the time.

They touch our lives in the form of family, friends, neighbors, even strangers.

This Christmas my family received many unexpected blessings and all of our needs were provided for.

The very last gift I opened on Christmas morning was from a lady that I haven't known for very long and had never received a gift from before. It was a beautiful little angel looking up toward the sky with a sash that read in plain writing:

ANGELS WATCHING OVER YOU

It brought tears to my eyes because this is exactly what I was feeling. To me this was more than a gift, but a message to confirm just what it conveyed.

Above is a picture of a snowman nodder that I added angel wings to for a girlfriend's birthday recently. On the tag I wrote "Old friends are like angels, precious and rare".

My hope for the upcoming new year on this Christmas evening is that we can all slow down enough to realize our blessings. There is always something or someone to be thankful for.

BLOG FEATURE

Wow! I'm so excited, a fellow etsy artist stumbled across my shop through another fellow etsian (awesome soap-lotion-perfume-bath salt-etc maker, KIMBERQUINN: http://www.kimberquinn.etsy.com/ ) who had marked both of our shops in her favorites and asked if she could feature my shop on her blog. What an honor. Her name is Nancy and her shop is: http://www.customdesigns4ubynan.etsy.com/ .

Nancy isn't a primitive artist, she is a "sewing woman" and creates beautiful things fromfabric (aprons, sachets, etc) and is currentlly into toile print, which I love. Be sure to stop by her blog at:

ELF POSSE

A very dear friend of mine asked if I could make some of these belsnickle-elf-gnome-santa type folk for gifts. I had so much fun creating them. They each take on a look of their own.

'TIS WINTER!!!!

The snow has hit "up north"!
Beautiful, fluffy snow. Clinging to the trees AND THE ROAD.
I slid through 5 stop signs this morning.
But it is magical.
Snowfolk will soon be popping up all around.
I need to make more snowfolk for Etsy:

WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU SNOW MAKE SNOWMEN!
