I recently found out that our town cancelled the annual "Autumnfest" which hosted the only fall craft show around.  I now have piles of pumpkin refugees camping out in my sewing room.  The above "Forgotten Pumpkins" by My Primitive Saltbox have always been a favorite of mine.  I purchased the pattern quite a while back but never got around to making them.  I also made two more pumpkin patterns by My Primitive Saltbox:
"Haunted Pumpkin Sticks"

"Lil' Jacks"

Also made about fifteen-hundred-million crows & cats & witchie-poo's.
The lady who told me the show was cancelled didn't seem to be affected by this fact.  Oh well...there's always next year!

Sorry to hear that the festival was cancelled especially since you put all that hard work and time into making things for the show. We had that happen down here two years ago.
In October of every year we had an herb festival with crafts and primitives and the lady who hosted the show at her farm decided to retire. That show was the only good one we had to go to. So I know how you feel. I was sad because I looked forward to going all year. Now a gentleman who used to set up at her show has been hosting a show similar to this one in the Amish community where he has a farm. He mostly sells antiques and old implements. The show is not the same as the original one and I didn't even go last year. The first show it had rained and we had to park two miles from there and take a trolly. This was so inconvenient especially if you purchased things and wanted to take them to the car.
But after arriving there, we found out there wasn't any primitive booths, only Amish selling their goods.
Sad and disappointed.

Put them on Etsy or do a blog sale.I know more work but at least you'll sell enough to get some of the investment back.Better do it quick though fall is running out for decorating purchases.Warm Blessings!~Amy

Lisa~I think it is time to start selling on etsy or a selling blog or even both. Its a shame about the craft show. Some people just don't care but we do!
Did I mention that I just love everything! Its all so adorable.

Prim Blessings,

That totally sucks! It seems a lot of craft shows are disappearing. Hope it's not a trend . . . I do so enjoy spending weekends looking at everyone's creations.

Those pumpkin heads are just adorable!

The people who are in charge of festivals and craft shows should be required to have had experience as an exhibitor of wares that they made by hand. Nuff said. (except I love your pumpkins).

I'm thinking a blog sale would be an VERY good idea...because I see a few of these refugees that could live at my house!!!

Why don't you use the 'just prim yard sale' on facebook? lots of folks are using it. Kinda nice to browse thru it and we always find something to buy!
