Isn't it great to know someone has your back in this crazy world?

It's been a crazy week.  Or two.  Or three.

I've been trying to catch up on blogs but half the time the pictures are not loading for me (I'm one of those people who needs pictures! LOL!). Drives me loco.   Also noticed some haven't been blogging as much, or posting at least (like me).  It's that time of year...time to get outside and enjoy it.  I have been tracing and cutting and now I'm ready to sew.

It's Friday.  We're off to my daughter's 1st regional cheer competition downstate tomorrow.  New territory for us.  I hope all goes well, everyone stays safe and the kids have fun.  I've noticed these young girls getting stressed out lately.  Boy, kids these days are going 90 miles an hour with school and sports and responsibilities.  I'm looking forward to a relaxing, easy-going summer.

I hope you all are happy and still stitching in between gardening and BBQ!

Finally had a couple days with decent weather.  When my husband was in the Air Force, we lived in Germany for three years.  Our German landlord didn't speak much English, and he always greeted me with the same saying:  "Nice vedda ve ah haveen". Which meant "Nice weather we are having!"

Sat outside yesterday and started gluing these flat glass marbles on an old wine bottle.  I love the way colored glass catches the sun in the yard and hope to make either a bottle tree or single sun-catchers.

Took a walk around the yard after playing with the wine bottle (that didn't sound good, did it) and found the last of the 'shroom's for the year.  Usually we get about 60 in the yard, and this year we found under 20.

Received an application for a craft show in July.  It is an annual garden walk and craft show - I haven't participated the past couple of years, but am starting to get ideas.  I usually sell Halloween and Christmas at shows, but that doesn't sell good at this event.  These folks are gardeners, so I'm thinking about mason jars full of fabric flowers and baskets of fabric apples, pears, strawberries and corn.

Got any ideas for me?  I would appreciate them!

Got a little more stitchin' done.  Some little dollies and a Doodle Bunny.

I wrapped this dolly in a swatch of material and vintage twine.  Tried to imagine how a little girl might have dressed her dolly with what she had.  Stamped "Old Friend" on a tag and attached that with a rusty pin.  Gave her to my oldest girlfriend for her birthday today.  She's not into primitive so much, but I know she understood the sentiment!  We grew up playing dolls & marbles together - since we were in Kindergarten.  I can still look at a couple of my marbles and tell they were ones I traded with her. LOL - how can I remember that but not everything else.

I hope you are gettin' a little stitchin' in this week too!

The neked bunnies have been clothed!

Hettie & Harry

A pattern by Chestnut Junction.

Gonna try to get some little prim dollies put together this week.
Feel a lovely migraine coming on.  Pesky things keep me from playing LOL.
Hope your weekend is treating you good!

Well, got a little stitchin' done last weekend.  It was a crazy week.  These bunnies are neked and need to be dressed yet.  They are from a pattern by Chestnut Junction.  The bun on the right still needs to be stained.  What a difference, eh?  It seems like I've spent so much time just getting to this point with these bun's, and it's a great, simple pattern, but when you don't have a lot of time - some weeks when things get busy - I guess you realize just how much you put into creating.  Picking a pattern, picking the fabric, tracing, pinning, stitching, cutting, clipping, turning, stuffing, stitching, staining, stitching some more, dressing, finishing touches....WHEW!  But I love it!  Love it all!  Hope your week is good so far! Thanks for visiting!
