I'm not usually mushy, but today I am feeling thankful.

I am thankful for the beautiful morning.  I am thankful for coffee.  I am thankful for the freedom to sit on my porch and drink my coffee - there are so many that are homeless and hungry and suppressed by their government - this is a reality for many.  Our freedom is nothing to be taken for granted.  I am thankful for our military throughout the decades.  I REALLY am!

I am thankful for the creative friends out there who inspire us even though they may suffer with personal pain and grief.  Be sure to check my interview tab at the top of the page to visit with some of the most kind and creative folks out there - my latest visit is from Deb of Paxton Valley Folkart!

I am thankful for my family and friends and tests that come back clear and lost pets that are found and for the strength I see in those fighting disease.  God bless them.

Thankful for my not perfect home and my not perfect yard and not perfect clothes and not perfect job.  I REALLY am thankful.  Because I talked to a woman living in a tent this week who didn't have anything.  That could be me!

Thankful for folks who have shown acts of kindness who I never got to say thank you to properly.
Thankful for hugs from old friends or a relative who I thought I would never get a hug from again.
I am thankful for forgiveness and those who can give and receive it.

I could go on but I will stop here and spare you.  A lot of days I have a cynical outlook, but not today for some reason.

Sorry if I made you want to toss your cookies with this display of mush - LOL!  I can do cynical and snarky too...just let me know ;0)

God Bless America!

If we sit down and think about it we can always find at least one thing everyday that we can be thankful for. Today I am thankful for having a good friend who cares enough to ask how I'm doing. Thank you xxxxx

My daddy always said when you start having a pity best look around. Someone else is always worse off than you. He was so right.
I'm blessed and thankful for my imperfect life too sweetie!
What a wonderful post! Happy belated 4th!

I thought your post was very sincere, and we might do well to read it from time to time. We can't put words to it like you have, but all in all, most of us have cups that are running over. Not mushy!
