GINGERS & ORNIES & BLOG HOPS

Dug out some wynter creations the other day.  Some of my gingers grabbed some candy stix and hopped into an old yellow-ware bowl I purchased from Janice at Prims by the Water at a show a while back.

They are now sitting on my dining room table.
I like the way you think, Ginger-folk.

OH!  THIS IS SOMETHING COOL:  Keep an eye out for an ornie-giveaway blog-hop coming our way December 1st!  Click the link at the top of my right hand sidebar come Dec 1st to visit Brenda at The Rusty Thimble and learn about your chance to win up to 15 ornaments!

SWEATER WEATHER

Definitely sweater weather up north!

I loved the comments from blog buddies that stopped by about their love/hate relationship with snow in the previous post!

Plans today to keep the pellet stove running, a pot of java on the burner and hopefully some sewing and crafting done.  Visions of a big pan of bread pudding for Thanksgiving keep dancing in my head. And spiffing up the house later in the week to prep for decorating next weekend.  I haven't decorated much the past few years, my heart wasn't in it.  Really looking forward to it this year.
I hope you are too♥

SNOWGUARD

Hi blog buddies!

Well, since our last visit we've gone from fall skies to high winds and flurries in no. MI.  Found these little guys guarding my Singer on the dining room table.  I've been cutting out dolly pattern pieces and I think the cat may have been snooping while I was at work.  Good little snow soldiers.

The snow is so bittersweet, isn't it?  The older I get the more I feel I could do without it.  But the older I get the more I reminisce about the joy and wonder of it all that I had as a kid.  Snowmen and snow forts and sledding and skating and snow days and skiing....and sometimes just staring up at the sky watching those big fluffy flakes fall, not making a sound.

Do you have a love/hate relationship with snow?

Stay warm buddies - thanks for stopping by ♥

FALL SKIES & GINGERS

Have moved on to Christmas crafts - the ginger above isn't really "prim" but he's so stinkin' cute I had to share.  Made from a Dolls and Daydreams pattern.  The swirls on his "frosting" are hand-stitched, it was a fun pattern to work with.

Ahhh... here are the prim gingers...or at least the fabric I picked out for them and the pattern.  I wanted a larger pattern than what I have so I printed the outline of a vintage cookie cutter.  My friend Patti and I were talking about sewing up a bunch and sticking them in bowls with greens & berries, pinecones & cinnamon sticks...are you inspired yet?

View of the fall sky on my way to work a while back. Picture doesn't do the scene justice, but the sky was so dark and the sun lit up the field and trees - quite the contrast, very breathtaking.

And this was the view of the sky outside of my work as I was leaving Friday evening.  Soon the skies and landscape will be nothing but winter-white.

Blessings on your weekend blog buddies - thanks for stopping by♥
